What is average cost of putting glass over a dining/kitchen table?
We have just purchased a new table and chairs for our dining kitchen room. But this table is nicer than what we have ever had and want to make sure it doesn't get scatched or scorched from something as the one before has. I've seen people talk about getting glass placed over their tables. This way you can still see the beauty of the table, but it would be protected as well. Any one had this done and give estimated cost???

Im now seeing it on sale for 299.99 from 499.99 at Amazon.comThe furniture store dont refund, dont price match, etcIts being delivered for free and its the floor model but she said she just got it in recently. It looks good too.My question is how much do you think i should have paid total for delivery, hook up, and a 6 mth warranty? Do you think i got jipped and would have made out better buying it for 299. Then paying for delivery about 142.00, plus paying someone to put it together for a fee, or either screwing things up trying to do it myself? Should i feel jipped?

How do you build open shelves on a kitchen counter to divide the kitchen from the dining room?
I have a kitchen counter that separates the kitchen from the dining room and I'd like to build a wall of shelves on top of that counter that I can use for storage but still see out into the dining room. To look something like this newsdesigninterior.com wp content uploads 2011 08 open shelves kitchen divider.jpgI'd like to mount the shelves on the counter itself instead of them hanging from the ceiling like they are in the picture above. There's also a wall on one end of the counter I can use for mounting. Any tips for planning this project?

Decorating: tips for converting dining room into nursery in small apartment?
I have a small dining area that I'd like to convert to a nursery temporarily until we move. We have a 4 month old baby and she will be moving to her crib soon. I'd like to have a functional area for her not our bedroom where I can keep her crib, dresser, diaper station, etc. It's a small space about 8 x 7 but it opens up to our living room and I'd like to find a way to section it off into it's own space. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Bed Bugs from Craigslist Dining Tables & Chairs?
Just wondering how likely it is that we could end up with a bed bug infestation if we were to get a Dining table and wooden dining chairs from craigslist?I had a bad reaction to some 10 bed bug bites when I was visiting someones house awhile back, and I could not LIVE with that. The tables we are considering are either Glass Particle board Wood combo Mostly wood with some particle board The chairs we like are wooden.Edit I am in New jersey and have considered getting the furniture from Craigslisters in both NY and NJ Edit 2 The luggage we had with us when i got the bites was shaken out and inspected and all the clothing we had with us was washed the day we returned. Incase anyone decides to tell me we probably brought bed bugs with us.
Dining room color please help?
We have black cabinets in our kitchen with a light blue wall and stainless appliances. We need a color for our dining room. I didnt want it to be the same color as the kitchen but a color that complements it. We are knocking one of the walls down to join the small kitchen with the dining area. The dining area will be a computer office eat in area. 10 points best answer. Look for my other questions I dont want neutral anything I love color However I dont want the same as the kitchen even if its a shade lighter or darker....and I think ellow is a cool color choice but too bright for a dining area..but thank you for the answers..
