What furniture should I put in this living room?
I have a strangely laid out living room, and am having a really hard time furnishing the space. Here's a rough sketch of what the room looks like. Like the people I used? Lol.The large cabinet thing is our built in shelving TV system. Obviously that has to stay. The piano must stay where it is, it doesn't fit anywhere else in our house. There needs to be room for at least four people to watch TV, but the area must double as a conversation area. We would like a fairly large coffee table for playing board games. We also need to fit a tree somewhere in the room.Don't hesitate to block the sliding door We never use it. We're thinking of putting up some curtains and pretending they're windows.Any suggestions are welcome Thanks.If it's helpful The door piano wall is the north wall, the bank of windows is the east, the TV unit window seats are the south, and the entrance faces west.

What Color Should I Paint My Room If I Have Dark Furniture?
Im not actually painting my room because I can't. I am going to staple fabric to cardboard and then nail the cardboard to the wall. Same effect but without the hassle. My favorite colors are Light and dark purple, Teal turquoise or light pink. My furniture color is like a dark cherry brown color or a darker chestnut brown. Whichever color it is its dark.
