How can I add a ground bus bar in my laundry room?
There are grounded outlets, furnace and hot water heater. Can I piggyback on any of these? Running a new ground wire to the main panel or placing a ground rod is not an option.
How are chainsaw pitch and bar size / type related? What is chain gauge? 7-tooth vs 8-tooth?
I have two original Homelite EZ's from 1957 1958 not the newer models that I'm currently working on. They were $40 and they were only missing their starter covers, so I figured it was a good deal. Well, I didn't research the saws, then I come to find out they run 7 16" pitch sprockets. I also found out that 7 16" pitch chain isn't sold anymore. Alright, fun so far.One saw had the original 7 16" pitch sprocket, chain, and bar the other had only the 7 16" sprocket. So, I ordered and installed an Oregon PowerMate .404 pitch 7 tooth rim sprocket. This is where I need some help.I have no bar and no chain for the .404 saw. I don't have much experience with chainsaws, so these are questions I would like to know about Can any size chain pitch be used on any bar as long as the length of the chain is equal to bar length? e.g. can 3 8" pitch chain and .404 pitch chain be run off the same bar if they're the same length? The 7 tooth sprocket is also advertised in an 8 tooth sprocket. Does the difference in teeth on the sprocket make a difference on the saw, the chain I can use, the bar, or all of the above? Do I have to be selective in the chain that I buy?Can bars from different saws be used on a Homelite especially an older model or will this create issues with the oiler?Because some bars have rollers and others are hardnose, does this make a difference when running a chain on it?Is there still somewhere that sells 7 16" pitch chain, and if so, where? And the last thing I don't know what is chain gauge .050, .058, .063, etc and does it effect what type size of bar I can use? Thanks for any and all help it's very much appreciated.
Is it possible to make your own (natural) Scentsy type bars?
I'm very allergic to artificial fragrances, so I use a Scentsy type warmer to heat up essential oils in water. It works, but I would love to try the soy tarts. The water dries up quickly and household oils make it smell like I'm frying potatoes in here.Doc, you're scaring away all the SHAMs and granola munchers.
Garage bar air filtration?
I have built a full bar in my garage, I have done a professional job and to that end it is fairly popular, however the only ventilation in is through the door into my house. Is there any plug in gadgets that would reduce the effects of people smoking? I dont want my house smelling on cigarrettes nor do I really want all the effects of second hand smoke. Suggesting that everyone goes outside isnt helpful.Thankyou in advance
If I am building a home bar in my basement, should I use pressure treated wood?
and if anyone has any plans for a home bar that would be awesome too. Thanks Thanks T.J and skibm80, the basement is dry, I just read somewhere when finishing a basement to use pressure treated anywhere that is touching the cement floor. But it wont be in direct contact, so I should be alright. Thanks again.
What ideas do you have for decorating a breakfast bar?
I have a breakfast bar in my apartment, which looks really plain and bothers me to no end I have no need to use it as a breakfast bar, so I'd like to get some ideas from the peanut gallery as to what I might possibly do to make it attractive.

Just a clean up, or would the bar AND wires be replaced and is this costly?
I'm currently in the midst of buying a house. The home inspector found that the neutral bar & some of the wires leading FROM that neutral bar were corroded. The seller has agreed to make these repairs & furnish me with a copy of the invoice. What I'm wondering is....could this be a simple clean up or would the neutral bar AND the wires be replaced? Is this costly?I am NOT saying the wires and or neutral bar is being replaced, I'm asking if they likely WILL be One person who answered did not read the question & asked me why is the neutral bar being replaced, and or wires being replaced. Please read the question carefully. This really is geared to any electricians out there.Dugie B's answer is enlightening. The corrosion has not eaten through anything from what can be seen but it's very visible...a whiteish colour. The corrosion is also on the screws holding the wires to that neutral bar if that makes any sense .
Anchoring towel bar to wallboard?
I bought plastic anchors for the screws, but they won't fit through the tiny holes in the wooden ends of the towel bar. I considered just drilling new holes next to the old ones, and moving it slightly, which would work for a while. However, it would eventually do the same thing This wallboard is very thin, not drywall, sheetrock, or anything like that. More like paneling. I'm starting to consider just using wood glue Anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with this?Mr. Warrior Good idea, but then I would be stuck with ugly screw holes that are already in the wall. I would prefer to not move the bar more than an inch, so I can keep those hidden. Thanks, though
