Ok..I am the odd ball here..I have a 20 place setting of dinnerware..a set of glasses (large and medium sized) that match..all my cookware matches...all my cutlery matches..all my crystal matches. My mixing/ serving bowls were all purchased to match my tableware or double as centerpiece bowls. |

Some of them do, but I am not that picky so, most of them don't. I have about 4 different sets. |

I have a 10 place setting full china set (cups, carafe, butter holder, gravy bowl, plates, soup bowls, et cetera), that all matches. My cutlery matches the sterling silver on the china. My glasses are plain, so they match everything. My pots and pans are all black or silver, so they match everything too. And then I have a bunch of Polish pottery (four plates, a ladle, serving dishes, salt and pepper shakers, bowls, a teapot, and mugs). They're all different patterns, but same colors. Oh, and I also have a set of ivory colored plates and bowls that we got as a wedding present. We don't usually use them though. Mostly we use the china, or the Polish pottery. I've just acquired pieces here and there (apart from the china, Polish pottery, and other plates and bowls) since getting married. |

My dishes, glasses, cutlery, pots and pans, etc. are like my friends ... varied! I have three sets of dishes, two sets of glasses, three sets of cutlery, and three sets of pots and pans. When you've been married and divorced a couple of times, this is what happens. |

We have a handful of sets of dishes, and a set of cutlery from uncountable sources. I think that the notion of having matched dishware and cutlery is just a holdover from Victorian or early 1900s morals. I think that we need to let go of the small imperfections in our home furnishings and learn to relax a bit. That kind of obsessive-compulsive worrying over the state of the dishware only came about because women had only one outlet for their creative energies and one way in which to express their worth. Now that we've moved on to gender equality, we need to let go of some of the baggage that paternalism produced. |

Not much "matches " in my house., not even the tableware! After all these years and kids, nothing is a set. I have pots and pans from when I first got married at 17! I have so many odds and ends in my kitchen but, they all work. Whatever works... At long as it's clean, without holes and not broken, it will suffice. :D |

No way after 40 years of married life.I have a pot from my Mom who died in 1981.My favorite, they don't make them that good any more.I have a set of dishes that are Correlle ware for everyday and then a set for holidays plain white.I have one set of good cutlery and then several pieces that are odds and ends, those are the ones my husband likes. |

Yes, they all match in that once I own them they have a scratch, dent, well used and loved look. But otherwise heck no! |

I lost everything twice. Even my good silverware was stolen. But this taught me to just rely on the Lord and not be possessive of anything. I have parts of three different sets or 4 sets actually. Not much matches. I ceased to be particular a very long time ago. I don't have much company at all anyway so doesn't matter much. |

No, I have bits & pieces of several sets. I may have one complete set of plates though. |
